Fire Fist Deck Profile - Locals report (33 people)

Hey guys, I went to locals yesterday to try and tinker with some of my more "Meta" decks and I decided to play Fire Fists over Machina Gadget. I ended up actually making the top 4 which is cool. (Yes, I know topping a locals isn't all that great but that's neither here or there.) But I wanted to try a deck that I could end up playing for the rest of the format and potentially the next format.

I really want your thoughts on my build and what I could do to potentially make my build a bit better. (Also your thoughts on my deck choice over Machina Gadget.)

I have to give a shout-out to Aamir's "Tell me your dueling problems thread" because she wanted to know what my main deck would be if we were to start warring other academies and such, so it got me to make this thread.

So anyway guys, please tell me your thoughts, should I keep playing Fire Fists? Or should I not give up on Gadgets just yet?

your deck isnt bad for a 4 axis deck but i play more of a 3/4 axis deck
your deck doesnt use the 3 axis variant so i guess it doesnt synch as much which kinda confuses me to your deck not liking evilswarm

maybe it is due to the constant traps so i suggest some decrees/trap stun in side deck
and xyz encore could help too

i am confused, your deck has gyokku, gorilla, lance and tiger king to negate ophion so i cant really see where your problem lies.

Maybe drop a pot of duality to add another tensu to add consistency as it is a target for dragon, and if your problem really lies with traps (cant see why) then maybe 2 tenken

I usually don't have a gigantic problem with ESwarms, in both matches I had huge problems getting to my side cards, which is weird because I run triple duality to try and get to them, It was kind of a bad day against the ESwarm matchup safer to say (I guess) I am considering trying to find room for a third Rivalry.

I think fire fists needs more speed to keep up with evilswarms, but my opinion though
